Whether you're a beginner picking your first hobby-grade RC truck or a seasoned basher fine-tuning a crawler build, Random Recon was made to be the resource we always wished existed.

Built to Help You Get the Most Out of RC
The RC hobby can feel overwhelming — from picking the right scale and class, to understanding ESC programming and choosing LiPo cell counts. Random Recon exists to cut through the noise.
Our mission is to produce the most useful, well-researched, and genuinely helpful RC car content available online — bridging the gap between beginner excitement and expert-level understanding.
"Every guide we publish is the guide we wish existed when we started."
Meet the Creator
I've been deep in the RC car hobby for years — bashing trucks, crawling boulders, drifting parking lots, and spending way too much on upgrades (zero regrets). I started Random Recon because most RC content online was either too shallow for experienced hobbyists or too technical for beginners. I write the reviews and guides I personally needed when I started, and the ones I still wish existed today.
